• All musicians must be between the ages of 11 and 18

• Competition is open to all orchestral instruments including piano, harp, saxophone, percussion.

• Each candidate must prepare and memorize a concerto of their choice.

• Auditions last fifteen minutes with a committee of several judges from the orchestra.

• Candidates must provide their own accompanist.

  The winner of the Young Artist Competition is invited to perform a movement of their concerto with the New England Philharmonic during the 2000-2001 Subscription Season.
