MIT Ideation Lab

The MIT Ideation Lab is a part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Engineering Systems Division at MIT. Our research focuses on design through several perspectives:

People: We consider the peoples and teams who conduct design, and the end users of designed artifacts
Products: Our research investigates the assessment of design outcomes, both during their creation and after they are in use
Processes: Our work examines the activities involved in designing as well as more formal methodologies for synthesizing design
