BUILDING TEXTURE DESIGN OPTIONS

A mixture of the three following texture types will be used to create the nine buildings that make up the entire room (likely three of each, with some minor variance in color between the similar styled buildings). Like-textured buildings will be spaced close to one another to add complexity in the initial stages of the puzzle, requiring players to separate the pieces by which building they belong to. The building pieces will not show signs of significant ‘apocalyptic’ damage – If they did, why rebuild them? The walls of the room will show a vista of the ruined city, with a few thin 2.5D buildings of similar texture to the ones in the room.





Process notes:

Similar to the process for option 1, except instead of creating stencils for the white horizontal striations, we will use either white (or tan) tape or ribbon to create sharp, contrasting lines (the sharpness of the lines is less important in option 1 with its low-contrast black-on-black paint).
