These concept drawings are to evaluate the placement of one of our main puzzle clocks inside the secret panel room with respect to the secret panel door. This is to determine some of the physical elements and thoughts that need to be considered in how the users will interact with the room, enter/leave the room, interact with the clock, as well as technical aspects of how the door will move with respect to the clocks location. Above we see the clock is next to the bookcase with a light above the clock to indirectly indicate the users to go and interact with that particular clock. Here there will be 3 primary users (red circles) that can interact with the clock and 3 secondary users (orange circles) that can observe and see what's going on. With this setup the door will have a horizontal motion to provide access to the other room. Several technical mechanisms and thoughts for maintaining good seals and minimum reveals of a 'secret panel' are also depicted above.

By moving the clock to the center of the room, fill out the space on the wall a little more efficiently making the room feel more balanced. This also allows for more primary and secondary users to access the clock increasing the amount of user involvement. However this makes things a little trickier in terms of how to trigger and operate the door. To increase the effect making the walls vanish is depicted above. Where the walls would be pulled up, above a 'fake' roof. This would be executed using garage door style doors, with the correct texture to make it look like paneling in the room.

Lastly, placing the clock in the corner of the room. This seemed like it could have been an ok idea, but turns out to be one of the worst. With respect to getting access to the clock, the users get boxed into the corner, making it harder to access, as well as work with/around the clock. Moving the wall would be very similar to that of Concept 1.
