Adapting to Covid, Coming Together at MIT

Please visit the MIT Now site to review the current policies on Covid-19 and access to campus.

Only authorized visitors are allowed inside MIT buildings. As an NNPSS attendee you will be given access via the Tim Tickets system. A Tim Ticket is a QR code that serves as a visitor pass that will provide you with unescorted access to campus.

The Tim Tickets system can be accessed by invited guests through the MIT Tim Tickets mobile application (available for iOS 13+ or Android 7+) or on the web at visitors.mit.edu. Around July 5th, attendees will receive an invitation email to register for the Tim Tickets.

Attendees using Tim Tickets must:

  • Provide their contact information (name, phone number, email address) for contact tracing purposes.
  • Accept MIT guidelines for campus access and agree to adhere to MIT rules and protocols.
  • Submit a daily health attestation.
  • Attest that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 vaccine. Tim Ticket users who are eligible for a booster vaccination must also attest to having received the booster shot.

Attendees should complete these steps at least 30 minutes before scanning into an MIT building.

Doors equipped with a QR code reader, shown on this map, may be entered using a valid Tim Ticket. The QR code reader has curved sides.
