Yesterday was one of the most amazing days of my life. I attended a march of women from Paris to Versailles to demand bread in Paris. We approached the palace and forced the King and Queen back to Paris, where they belong. Most of the citizens in Paris have been forgotten by the monarchy and it was about time to bring them to where they belong. They have begun to reside at the Tuilleries and the king is being held as a prisoner of Paris. I'm very proud of myself. Danielle stayed home with Claude today, I believe he had her "help" him in the print shop which just means that she is given some fonts and told to place them in a grid so that he can print them. It is very adorable.

Two days ago, I read the Declaration of the rights of Man and of the Citizen which was published by the National Assembly in August. Then later that day, upon attempting to buy bread at the market, I was informed by another woman that they would be marching to Versailles within the next couple of days to demand bread from the Queen herself. She was a mother, hopefully she would understand.

After returning home yesterday, Claude immediately asked me to write something for his pamphlet. I asked him what he felt about publishing a woman and her ideals. He told me that he knew that I would want to express my ideas in print. I wrote about breaking down the door of city hall, screaming at Marie Antoinette, trudge back to Paris with the heads of guards on sticks! And I will be published! Danielle will be so proud when she grows up and realizes what she is living through right now!
