Wendy and I picked up Gordon and then went off to Karen's house. As
her mother was calling to the back end of the hallway, Karen emerged
from her room. I could tell that Gordon and Karen hadn't really ever
had a good look at each other before they were set up by the way they
were ogling each other.
"You all look so good!" Karen's mother said. "Line up by the fireplace and let me take your pictures!" My heart sank. "Okay, now just you two, Wendy and Paul. Now Karen and Gordon. Say cheese! Wait, all four of you, line up. Just one more... Okay, now, Gordon, you were going to pin on her corsage? Oh, that looks lovely. Look up! And the boutonniere... Okay, Wendy, now it's your turn. What a lovely arrangement! Okay, all four of you get back up there... now turn this way..." I just wanted to get out. We finally got into the limo during the second reloading of film. Wendy got to show of the limo toys to Karen as she had to Gordon and me. She was bouncing on the chairs, moving from appliance to appliance, pointing out the CD player and television and VCR, and I was just trying to keep up. I found a blender while I was looking for a coke, but decided to keep quiet about it. | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
