The slow song ended and the lights slowly came back up.
"Well, I guess the dance is over. Say hi to Amy for me," I told David. "Nah, I didn't have that good a time with her. She spent most of the time hiding in the bathroom," he said. "What are you doing after the dance?" I told him my dad rented a limo but the money only covered four passengers. "Well, I still have the keys to your balcony windows." David winked at me and I giggled at the idea. I blushed a little, but nodded and ran back to our table. God, I had so much to do and get ready for! I ran back to the table to meet my friends and to pick up the centerpiece--it had the prettiest flowers and balloons and I wanted to remember this night forever--and we all ran through the crowd to get to the limo. Karen asked if we would all go to a 24-7 diner for dessert, and I suddenly remembered about Paul! My God, I'd made plans with David and I still had a date to take care of! Gordon must have known I was looking for a way out, because he lied and told Karen he had to work tomorrow, so that became my excuse too. I was a little bit nervous about David and a little bit guilty about Paul, so I really didn't enjoy any of the toys in the back of the limo on the ride home. | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
