Poles are very strong and yet they are very flexible. They bend past 90 degrees and nearly in half.

But sometimes you push the pole to its limit, and then some. Then they break. I have a video that you can download and see one acutally break into three pieces. Click here to downlod the video. It may take several minutes to download so please me patient.
