The quest for an HIV vaccine has led researchers to an experimental regimen involving seven doses over a two-week period, which is effective but impractical. The team now reports it can achieve a similar immune response with just two doses given one week apart.

“Glass is a highly recyclable material,” Kaitlyn Becker explains. She and her collaborators developed reconfigurable masonry made from 3D-printed, recycled glass. The sturdy bricks could be reused many times over in building facades and internal walls.
