Making sure your package arrives safely
Receiving an incoming package or other shipment
To ensure correct delivery to you, use this address tool when providing your destination address to your shipper. Most MIT buildings have one address for USPS mail and a different address for FedEx deliveries, etc. Always include your building number and room number.
Receiving a pallet
If your building is serviced by a Mail Room, your pallet will arrive there. Mail Services will then deliver the pallet to you if delivery requires only one employee and a pallet jack. We do not break down pallets at the delivery point, but we can help bring the pallet inside the building provided there is enough clearance for the pallet and the tools.
- Use the address tool above to make sure you are providing the correct delivery address for the pallet to the vendor.
- If Mail Services receives a pallet that we are unable to deliver, we will contact you to suggest alternate arraignments.
- For pallets that are oversized, need special equipment, and/or require more than one employee to deliver, contact Calvert Movers at 617-590-9567 or Your Move at 617-623-8545 for assistance.
Note: Mail Services is not involved with the delivery of perishables, food, or unboxed furniture. Please do not use Mail Services to send or receive personal mail, food, or packages.
