There are a variety of places to look for images online. The MIT Libraries subscribe to a few databases where you can search for images, and there are many resources available freely on the Web.
Images are protected by copyright and, like articles, books and other documents, you must cite the source of any image you use in your work. Most style manuals offer examples of how to cite images. Ask us if you have questions.
