plot of eye acuity difference and integration efficiency in individuals with intact, deficient or no stereoscopic visionFigure 16-11 is a three dimensional plot showing the distribution of number of stereo intact, stereo deficient and stereo blind subjects in terms of the left/right eye difference in acuity and the percent integration they exhibited on the integration tests. The data show that stereo intact subjects for the most part have small differences in left/right eye acuity and have high integration scores. By contrast stereo blind subjects have larger differences in acuity between the two eyes and for the most part do not integrate well. Stereo deficient subjects fall in between.
