Figure
16-11 is a three dimensional plot showing the distribution
of number of stereo intact, stereo deficient and stereo blind subjects
in terms of the left/right eye difference in acuity and the percent integration
they exhibited on the integration tests. The data show that stereo intact
subjects for the most part have small differences in left/right eye acuity
and have high integration scores. By contrast stereo blind subjects have
larger differences in acuity between the two eyes and for the most part
do not integrate well. Stereo deficient subjects fall in between.
