Matthew J. Nava

Matthew Jordan Nava is a graduate student in the Cummins group. Matt joined the Cummins group after receiving a BS/MS from the University of California, Riverside. At UCR, Matt worked under Prof. Chris Reed developing fluorinated carborane superacids. Matt is joining the Cummins group to investigate initially the insertion of group 6 transition metals into the carboxamide cryptand and study their applications as small molecule activators. Matt is originally from Southern California. In his spare time, Matt likes to travel with his fiancé and looks forward to playing in this "snow" he has heard stories about.
