Wesley J. Transue

Wes is a graduate student in the Cummins group. He joined in the fall of 2013 in order to pursue the chemistry of reactive small molecules, especially those involving pnictogen elements. To this end, he has been involved in the synthesis of molecular precursors to PN and HCP, and in the elucidation of their chemical properties. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon, where he worked in the lab of Stefan Bernhard on the design and synthesis of iridium luminophores for use in photocatalytic water splitting.
