Every LSC movie has its popcorn, candy, soda, and gourmet Toscanini's ice
cream, and inside the theater (Room 26-100, a lecture hall by day) Efrain
Gutierrez is getting things ready. Gutierrez is the Refreshments Director,
and he has a simple reason for liking his work: "I like the whole thing about
free popcorn and free soda," he says sheepishly. Now, he says, it's part of
his routine. "It's been part of my life for three years." Asked whether the
job can be stressful, Gutierrez laughs. "It's really stressful when a lot of
people come at the last minute" to buy refreshments, a frequent occurence.
But he does like the work. "It's become my life. You've got to like what you
do, and I like LSC."
