MIT Men's Basketball Assistant Coaches


  • Wallace Johnson: Coach Johnson is an Indiana native who was a standout in both track and basketball at Ball State University. He joined the staff after coaching 15 years at various high schools on the West Coast, from Seattle to San Francisco. Coach Johnson is in his second year at the Institute.

  • Josh Bubar: Coach Bubar comes to the program from Colby College, where he played basketball for three seasons. He has most recently coached at Arlington High School in Arlington, MA. He is in his first year at MIT.

  • Eric Vichnick: Coach Vichnick has previously coached in the high school ranks and as a volunteer assistant with the Syracuse men's basketball program. He also comes to us with an extensive background in sports management and holds a Master's degree in Sports Management from Springfield College. He is in his first year at MIT.

  • P.J. Sallaway: After being a member of the team for four years, Coach Sallaway has moved to the other side of the fence in this, his first year, as a coach. He is presently completing his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT.
