Dermatology

Our Dermatology Service cares for acute and chronic skin conditions, checks for skin cancers, and educates patients on skin care and photo-protection strategies.

Specifically, our services include:

  • Annual skin checks for skin cancer
  • Skin checks for individuals at risk for developing skin cancer
  • Urgent visits for acute problems
  • Diagnosis and management of non-urgent skin problems
  • Ongoing care for chronic skin conditions
  • Biopsies of skin lesions (under local anesthetic)
  • Treatment of skin lesions using cryotherapy, electrocautery, curettage, incision and drainage, excision, and extraction
  • Ultraviolet phototherapy
  • Coordination of outside services

Recommendation
If you have an acne problem that hasn't been treated, please see a physician or nurse practitioner at our Internal Medicine service for a preliminary consultation.
