ACF has a variety of ministries, each tailored to meet a specifc purpose.
These range from the weekly large group meetings
for the entire fellowship, small groups
for deeper studies, and various ministry groups
for those who want to take an active role in ACF's ministry.
Every Friday from 7-9pm in the Mccormick Brown Living Room, the entire ACF community meets together for
worship. Our worship times includes various aspects ranging from singing
contemporary songs to God, to praying with each other, to discussing the
struggles and joys of our faith, learning spiritual yet relevant truths from
Scripture to just having fun. Our hope is that these worship times
strengthen our faith and encourage us in our relationship with God.
See the calendar for details on what is going
on in the large group meetings this term.
Our small groups give us to chance to grow deeper as a community. These
groups meet weekly, focusing on discipleship and helping each other find the
intersection between faith and daily living. Also, at least one small group
will be dedicated exclusively to people who do not profess a faith in Jesus,
yet are curious about the fundamental truths of Christianity. Here, both the
young and the mature in faith can learn spiritual truths and tangible
practices which foster greater intimacy with God, in the company of friends.
Here is a list of our current small groups, the times they meet every week, and the names of their leaders. Feel free to contact the leaders by email if you are interested in joining a group, or if you have any questions.
Not only is a Christian to be fed and nourished in the faith, but he or she
is also called to serve. Three main ministry groups serve the communities
surrounding ACF: a Large Group Coordinating team oversees the mechanics of
an ACF Friday Large Group, everything from drama sketches to multimedia
presentations to the musical worship, an Outreach and Missions team strives
to teach the fundamental truths of hope that we have in Jesus, and a Justice
and Reconciliation team engages systemic injustices with Jesus' truth and
love in our campus and surrounding communities. These teams are open to all
who profess Jesus' leadership in their everyday lives.
