Oathar heads back to deal with water day in Selkai.

Imre decides it's time to tell Saera what the deal is. She agrees to see the count and in fact figures she'd probably better tell her son the truth about his father.

They take her to her house to get her stuff. Sadly the house is filled with snakes hiding in all of the cupboards and closets and the like. The snakes attack! Imre retreats with Saera, while Alynna and Kyrik fight snakes. Imre teleports Kyrik in to help with the snakes. Haeraan chops the hypnotic snake so Alynna doesn't get mind controlled. Everyone else fights lot's of regular snakes.

Back in SelKai, Oathar wonder why the heck their hit points are dropping.

The fight against the snakes contines. Yup, there sure are a lot of snakes in her house. Yup.

In killing large number of snake, Alynna pummels herself almost to unconsciousness. Imre can barely keep her up. Oathar, back in Selkai, really wonders what they are up to. Covered in blood, the party finally kills all of the snakes. Haeraan grabs a few more keepsakes for Saera and they head back. There's a portrait of Herotha's father in there. It's unclear why she kept it.

It was painted by an elf back in Bokpentok within the last hundred years.

Oathar returns. There's a little kid who comes to give a message to Oathar. He is mind controlled by a hypnosnake. They will pursue us across the face of the world.

We dispel the mind control and he snaps out of it. Haeraan and Kyrik head out to check out this alley where the kid was kidnapped yesterday. He sees the person who mind controlled the kid and is absolutely certain he saw that guy in the Selkai palace during the formal party with the Prince last year.

OK, it's time to blow this joint, but the damn snake people will have to be dealt with later.

We set sail in the right general direction. We head to the Komaran Cluster.

Oathar has a dream from Neela. He's in a maze with twisty passages. He gets a feeling that there's something called a Grue nearby. It's gonna eat him. As he moves around in the dark, bobbing about in random directions, he suddenly sees in the distance an unusual split palm tree. Sitting in the cleft between the two palms is a young man. Calling up to him, he says, "Look out there's a grue." Then he wakes up.

Haeraan has some dreams too. He's attending a play. On the stage are three witches with a cauldron. They add a lot of fang of snake and the like. But they they must let the potion sit for a bit before it is ready, but once it is ready, it will be potent.

Orhan 3 Day 54 TE 6063

We land in Aquitar, capital of the Komaran cluster. We pull in to port and notice several warships at the war docks, and many dolphins in the bay. We pull into a commercial slip. The dockmaster requests lots of information. Import taxes will be assessed. Docking fee is a gold. Local laws are posted.

The laws seem to be the usual sort of thing. It's a bit weird that there's not a single woman in sight.

Alynna a bit distressed. She hasn't bought herself a drink in a bar for over 12 years. Whatever will she do? Haeraan comes to her rescue.

Oathar heads off to the temple of Neela.

Imre finds Mikal's friend Marco in a bar, and after some interrogation is introduced to Mikal. Mikal and his entire crew follow Imre back to the ship.

Mikal is the angry son who doesn't really have any interest in going back to see his long lost abandoner...er father. But we convince him to sleep on it.
