Orhan 2 Day 19 TE 6065

We teleport to the superweapon control room. For some reason, Oathar bounces. The rest of them arrive at the place with five or six other people. They notice that of the five guys up there, three of them are in space marine uniforms. One is a leader type with a blaster pistol. One is a steel golem with a BFG. There's a flagpole with two flags, with the brotherhood of the holy word and a starburst symbol.

Oathar bounces again. Combat ensues. The leader draws his pistol. Alynna sweeps him and it bounces off of his kinetic armor. Kyrik attacks the golem. We attack the golem (space marine in powered armor; it takes a few points. Haeraan stuns one of the worker guys. The two unarmed guys bring their wrists up and shout into them in their weird language.

We fight a bit. Imre manages to get the helmet off the battle armor guy, and Kyrik attacks him some. Haeraan smites down a bunch of the technicians. Oathar casts Power Word: Death on the guy with the battle armor. He's consumed by a hellfire of which even Oathar is afraid. This kills the guy, but also detonates his armor and ammo stores. The secondary detonations kills Oathar and Kyrik instantly. Everyone is stunned.

Haeraan manages to get the commander (using Command) to divert the incoming drop ships and fighters. But then a technician activates his teleport beacon, and it starts teleporting everyone on the platform. The living party members leap off the platform, just in time and only bad guys are transported away. The remaining party regroups and tries gets the superweapon into firing on Lorgalis mode.

They insert the keys and turn them in sequence and the map appears and they hear the telepathic voice that says: Choose Target Point! <our target> Choose Radius! <50 km> Choose Manifestation! <Sea Storm>

Input Final Verification! Do you agree? <yes> Do you agree? <yes> Do you agree? <yes> More confirmations required, safety protocols require further confirmations. Imre gets Monko to turn into a little kid. Do you agree? <yes> Then they start trying to get Tradewind to come back. Bribery rolls are made everywhere...

They promise to make Oathar never put any damage on her again. She turns into a little girl. Do you agree? <I agree.> Power reserves remaining 80%. Time delay before storm initiation, 5 hours, 4 hours 59 minutes...

The party including bodies, take the keys and teleport down to the throne chamber to watch, but upon their arrival they must roll initiative!

They immediately evac! Back to the villa with their corpses. He spends a long time bringing Kyrik and Oathar back.

Tradewind wants a written contract. Oathar and Kyrik are at -100 for the next 20 days. Haeraan stashes three superweapon keys at a fortress of Rianne, Imre hides two in a tower.

Around superweapon firing time, Oathar is taking a nap, while others pace around the living room. Nothing much happens here in our villa.

Haeraan, Kyrik and Alynna go to see Veriak and find out what happened. He's glad to see us. Well, three of us. They scry to see what happened. Roiling clouds and lightning striking all these ships. There's a circular flat area all around them with Lorgalis standing on a ship in the middle holding off the storm all by himself. There's a huge flat circle of water and he's standing there concentrating holding it together. Occasionally, a ship near the edge crosses the line, is swept off and never seen again.

Lorgalis pretty much holds the storm off as long as we watch. Haeraan has a dream:

Lorgalis is at a card table playing solitaire. Haeraan grabs the jack of spades and Lorgalis says Hey! and moves different thing, and Haeraan steals a seven. After a while he looks up, throws the deck down and says, Hey you!

After a few more hours, the mass of ships are lashed together here and there, with Lorgalis still in the middle holding off the storm. The entire mass is slowly rowing itself to the west while Lorgalis holds off the storm. Suddenly, Lorgalis' daughter points up at the sensing point and starts casting a spell. Veriak shuts it all down. Oh Veriak tells us that the storm will continue for six days.

We sleep.

Orhan 2 Day 20 TE 6065

Arisia feeds Oathar sandwiches. Life is good. Alynna goes to scout out the superweapon. But she doesn't get close enough because she keeps bouncing.

Imre tries to figure out if the superweapon is gone or not. He thinks it's damaged.

Haeraan dreams about the possibility of factions in the space dudes. He dreams about a little family, the father has a sunburst symbol. One of the chairs of the kids has a brotherhood of holy word symbol. They run around a lot. The father is trying to keep order. The brotherhood symbol kid comes over and start poking an anthill. He steals the ants lootz. Then the dad comes along and makes him stop that. But he doesn't stop for long. Just as the father leaves, the kid takes out a magnifying glass and smiles.

Haeraan thinks we're the ants.

A letter is delivered:

I see that you have not been unprepared. Know this: if you should ever interfere with my fleet again, or directly attack me, there will be retribution. Otherwise, I will see you when the final battle occurs. -L.

We declare victory, and adjorn to our respective debaucheries.
