In which our heroes ...
Orhan 3 Day 53 TE 6064
The final round!!!!! The enemy prays to their god, Alynna prays for her. Everyone goes down except for Alynna. She in fact takes out all of the other team by herself, while the rest of the Bears including Haeraan are useless. They get 15 gold each for their victory and a team trophy! The Bears win the pennant!
Orhan 3 Day 54 TE 6064
We return to Master Gitan and start looking for local coastline maps. Oathar wants to find pirate treasure.
Oathar decides to start at the temple of Shaal. Oathar looks for places near trading hubs that have lots of storms. Between the mountains and the elven forest are the Moors, where there is a fair bit of access inside, with a lot of rough weather.
Oathar looks around at his maps and doesn't see anything that looks like pirate treasure though. Around to the southwest coast though, there's something called Brighthead bay, that looks promising. The Old Coast Road goes around the bay and that seems to match one of Oathar's maps. Master Gitan thinks that area is mostly fishing villages, but it used to be a big port. It's fallen into disuse though.
Oathar negotiates a byzantine contract, getting use of a brand new ship, in exchange for 20% of the net, and leaving a slave contract with Kyrik's name on it for colateral.
Orhan 3 Day 55 TE 6064
We set sail aboard the Honest Plunderer. There are some minor issues with the brand new ship, but we make a good report and head on towards our goal.
Orhan 3 Day 60 TE 6064
We reach our nothernmost point. Yup, there's a titanic storm approaching. After a great deal of discussion, we decide to dodge the storm rather than sail into it's teeth!
We dodge the storm.
Orhan 3 Day 70 TE 6064
We arrive at Brighthead Bay.
Oathar sends the crew on various resupply missions and the party heads into the bay to search for treasure underwater. Suddenly Blinky shows up. Oathar gives him a fate point and then his many eyes scan the bay with etheric scanning beams, and locate the hole the treasure is in for the party. Woo hoo!
The hole, is actually a hole in a roof. Like there's an underwater building that used to be ubove water. Huh, some sort of porch. There's Terrainian writing. It says, "Shuttle sub-station." We head down the stairs futher in and come to a closed security gate. We short door through it. The sign says, "Tube ;> down". At the bottom is a flodded tube station, with two tracks. The near track is empty. The far track has a vehicle on it. More like a maitainance vehicle or some sort. It's approximately mini-van/SUV sized. Haeraan and Alynna short door in.
They find lots of controls, but it won't start up while it detects short circuits. There are a series of caps stored below the panels outside, which are not covering their coverings, exposing some power connectors.
After messing with teh caps, the fuel guage comes on. It boots up, and reports loading vmlinux kernel 6382.2.4.2. Then it shows a little user command screen. Locations: Service Terminal 38. Access caps: Sealed, and other useful information like that. Alynna manages to bring up a map of the various terminal stations. The tunnel we're in has status yellow (sealed but hazardous).. The rest of the system says status unavailable. Imre memorizes the map. There are about 50 stations. When it boot sup it has some weird date, but isn't clear as we don't understand the dating system. The clock has a really big difference between the last system log entries.
Oathar ransacks the toll colletors booth. Not much in there. He does find some metal insignia, similar to the mark used for the sub-shuttle stations. Also, some plastic playing cards. Ooooh.
Alynna discovers how to control the magnetic and phsyical grapple, as well as diagnostic probes and autopilot.
It's kind of like a giant nigh-immobile power charging crane station. Imre also finds a hand scanner. The scanner shows inventory. There's a whole list of stuff that supposedly down here. 38 copper bolts. 22 hard hats. etc. Status: substation 38 supply area one. It notes that the supply areas beyond the caps. Oathar goes to the supply areas and finds they are intact and dry. Msotly it's spare parts and various widgets that would be incredibly useful if you were running a subway system. But there is also a full set of power tools that require the repair shuttle to run. There's also two extensive first aid kits. It looks like they are even sealed well enough to still be useful. There's an emergency automated diagnostic about the size of a dinner plate. The instructions say activate step 1. step 2. apply to chest or back. Those are the only two instructions. It does the rest. WARNING ONE USE ONLY. There are a couple of protective suits. firefighting/hazardous containment suits. Will protect against up to something radiations/chemical hazards/fires up to somethign something. ETc. A couple of environmental packs that go with them. There's also a set of communicator devices/throat mikes, etc. Short range but battery powered. A pack of cool silver space blankets.
In a completely separate thing is a heavy duty laser cutter. Needs the repair tram to work. Industrial device to cut through whatever. We might be able to run it off of our car.
Orhan 4 Day 3 TE 6064
We get the treasure, but we'll figure out how that works later, since Dave is back and it's time for the final battle and empowerment of the chosen one.
