TEAM

Currently there are 11 Fabulous People Electing to Work on this Project. Each person plays a particular role on the team that never goes overlooked. Work is typically condensed to the summer to minimize stress and for full freedom, but there is always a few appointed people to fix user-submitted oversights throughout the semester

The Roles on the Team are outlined here:

Admin

Administrators, or "Admin", handle more of the Clerical and Traditional Club roles such as adhering ASA guidelines, fact checking rules, maintaining a budget, and making sure that people in other roles can work creatively, independently, but productively.

Engineer

Engineers work on Technical Implementations and Data Formatting. "Work smarter, not harder" Much of the work for engineers is to optimize work and create the strategic solutions to tackle group objectives. We got this! This does not require an extensive knowledge; even as a script-kiddies can come far.

Heavy

Good at Reading Lots of Information. There is always an asinine number of documents that are in the queueing list for H2GAMIT. Just trying to not make it so hellish for one person by dividing for the team is quite nice; the skill threshold is quite low but there is a theoretically high skill ceiling.

Medic

Finer Fixes and Patches to Data, Layout, or Miscellaneous Editing. Fairly mixed media usage, and it is similar to the heavy there is a lot that this role could help with. Sometimes it is photo editing, or sometimes correcting typos or offering. If you have a fairly balanced skillset or are design-oriented, this is the role for you!

Scout

Physically about campus and various sites. Become a herald to the organization! Often this is retrieving more information, verifying old/existing data, and finding sites to sift through. So if you like taking photos, finding new locations around campus, and this is the role for you!

Sniper

Targeted Photos, Knowledge, and Sites. The most conventional "writing" role, if you consider yourself "an expert" on certain MIT topics or came here to write peep this one. It would be nice to have photos with certain sections too, so if you have an eye for photography, love sharp editorial criticism, and going in deep-end on one subject, this is role for you!

So if you would like to join the team, even if you don't know which fits you, be sure to join the mailing list, h2gamit-mercs@mit.edu  and a team member will reach out to you with personalized assistance finding a spot on the Team

H2GAMIT also has a place for temporary, paid artists! H2GAMIT is committed to upholding MIT's community involvement by having as many people contribute to the final style. A portfolio is not required, contributions could range from full-page spreads for each chapter, comic strips to serve as reading breaks, picture collages, page formatting, or even doodles. Little touches go a long way to liven the atmosphere or conversely set the tone for the discussions.

All commissioned work is "name your own price", properly credited, and payment first. The only cap due to funding is limited to $80 per piece but feel free to do as many pieces as you can take on. In 2023, 52 Artist Applied, 41 Interviewed, and 32 Paid for Work. For inquiries email h2gamit@mit.edu
