Model: Modified Crane Crease Patterns Designer: Tanaka Masashi
Difficulty: Complex Instructor: Yanping Chen
We will be folding various Origami Crane CP's (Crease Pattern) by Tanaka Masashi (from the 18th Crease Pattern Challenge). Some basic concepts of CP solving will be covered, as well as a walkthrough of each model.

Model: Eifelstern Designer: Hans-Werner Guth
Difficulty: Simple Instructor: Elsa Chen
This is a 12-piece modular ring. Different paper choices result in different patterns.

Model: Hybrid Unit Designer: Tom Hull
Difficulty: Low Intermediate Instructor: Tom Hull
We'll learn the Hybrid Unit (unpublished), whose locking mechanism is half-Sonobe unit and half PHiZZ unit. This is a very versatile unit that takes advantage of both sides of paper, so it's ideal for duo paper! And it has some cool math aspects too.

Lecture: How to Prove that Origami is Hard Lecturer: Tom Hull
We'll go over Bern & Hayes' famous 1996 proof that flat-foldability is NP-hard. Also, I've been working on an improved proof of their result that states: Given a crease pattern AND a mountain-valley assignment, determining if it will fold flat is still NP-hard. I'll discuss my new proof attempt and ask the audience for help in finishing the one hole in the proof (which requires origami knowledge, not necessarily deep math knowledge, to do!).

Lecture: Representational Origami Design and Analysis Lecturer: Jason Ku
This lecture is designed to be a crash course introduction designing and analyzing representational origami. The tree method of origami design with respect to uniaxial bases will be introduced, as well as concepts of space allocation and polygon packing. Further, we will discuss how to extract information from existing crease patterns to analyze their structure.

Model: $ Dolphin Designer: Michael LaFosse
Difficulty: Low Intermediate Instructor: Michael LaFosse
Learn about wet-folding paper money with this aquatic $ model! Bring a nice, crisp bill with you and leave with a Hawaiian Dolphin! (Michael designed this new model at the "Origami Do Experience", Waikiki.)

Model: Bud and Variations Designer: Jeannine Mosely
Difficulty: Low Intermediate Instructor: Jeannine Mosely
Learn to make the basic Bud, and how to customize the profile of the central curved section to make your own designs. Some basics of the theory of curved origami will be covered. Don't worry if you're not a mathematician: the math will be at the level of high school geometry and you don't need to understand it to make the models.
