Student atheneums in NUS and NTU foster close ties among students
SMA provides a conducive environment for students to meet, work and learn together. For example, student atheneums are located in both NUS and NTU, where each student is allocated a cubicle and personal computer, in addition to other IT equipment. Students also enjoy access to facilities that enable interaction with MIT professors via video conferencing and audio conferencing. Through MIT’s course-management system, students can also easily access their course lecture materials and assignments online. By bringing the students together in a shared space, the student atheneums encourage interaction amongst SMA students and provide opportunities for fostering close bonds with their peers. This will help them to build useful networks as they advance in their careers upon graduation.
