Installing Meeting Maker User Software for UNIX

To install Meeting Maker User software:

1. Log in as superuser.
2. Create a directory for the Meeting Maker executable. To create and go to a directory called /usr/mm type:

   cd /usr <Enter>

   mkdir mm <Enter>

   cd mm <Enter>

   ---

   Note: If the variables MMHOME or XPPATH are set, then reset them to nothing (blank space).

   ---

3. Mount the CD ROM if it is not already attached.
4. Run the install script:

   ./mminstall <Enter>

   The mminstall script:

   • verifies where to install
   • verifies your operating system
   • installs x-specific resource files
   • installs printer configuration files
   • prompts you to create a link to /usr/local/bin or other executable directories if desired
5. Set variable MMHOME to installed directory.
6. Set variable XPPATH to MMHOME_directory/xprinter for ALL users requiring printing capability.
7. Execute Meeting Maker by typing:

   ./mmxp <Enter>

   The Meeting Maker Sign In dialog box appears:
   

8. Click Sign In.
