Retention Basin

The retention wall is the area where the existing topography meets the supressed level of the retention basin. It is made of cor-ten steel and anchored by steel I-beams. A small slit is cut into the wall where drainage from the parking lot flows through and into the basin. (sketch) There are four holes placed in the basin that are to be played at your own risk. The retention basin also can serve as a freshwater wetland and serve as a new home for many plant and animal species.
