| The main theme of the design is conveyed by using various aspects which attempt to portray the evolution from the simple to the complex, in the time between the past to the present, this is mainly done by focusing on elements like water, vegetation, grading and levels and finally form and space. | |
Water , paving materials and |
Water is used (primarily the incoming source through rain etc,.)to bring about an awareness regarding the existance of a source of water and how it dissappeared in time.History is reflected on by focusing on the presence of water and its gradual absence.
Paving materials used also go onto tell the change in time experienced, this is portrayed in the pedestrian pathways which experience a gradual transition from compacted mud paths, to gravel, to cobbles and also play an important role in the way water flows over them.
Vegetation and the lack of it as well as the type of vegetation used also brings about an awareness to the changing times.
