Bruker-AXS / MIT Symposium 2014

Information about location can be found here.

The Bruker-AXS / MIT Symposium is an annual event, directed towards chemists, biologists and crystallographers from the greater Boston area. The next symposium will be held on Saturday, February 22 2014 and the motto of the 2014 Symposium will be Modern Approaches to Crystal Structure Solution.

The symposium will be coupled with three Structure Solution Workshops based on the programs SHELXT, SIRand Superflip. There will be workshops all day Friday, February 21 and in the morning of Sunday, February 23 2014, that is the days before and after the symposium. Depending on demand, each workshop will be held up to three times (with three workshops running in parallel). The registration form shows checkboxes for the three workshop slots and it would be helpful if you could indicate on the registration form's comment field whether you prefer a beginner's or advenced workshop. I will try to distribute the participants among the three workshops and time slots according to your wishes and needs. The number of participants for the workshop is limited -- please apply early, places will be granted upon a first-come-first-serve basis.

In addition to the workshop and the symposium there will be a Poster Session. Every participant is more than welcome to present a poster, preferably taking into account the motto of the meeting. A qualified group of judges, which has yet to be determined, will be rewarding one poster with the Bruker/MIT Poster Prize (generously funded by Bruker-AXS).
