Treadmills appear simple to use. A user first steps onto the belt, presses 'Quick Start', and adjusts the speed of the belt to one's desired pace. However, because of the many features of the treadmill, such as preset workout selections, they often confuse users as they spend at least a few minutes figuring out what the buttons on the interface do before starting their workouts. This analysis will take a look at the most basic user experience of just walking/running on the treadmill and one using different features of the treadmill.
Step onto the treadmill.
Press 'Quick Start' to begin.
Adjust right knob to change speed.
Adjust left knob to change grade.
Press button to view pace, average speed, and distance.
Display calories burned on this screen here.
Display time elapsed or remaining.
Press 'Option' to enter weight, age, height.
Press numerical keys to enter values.
Press 'OK' to confirm the values.
Select a pre-selected workout, like variety.
Press 'OK' to confirm the values.
Insert headphone jack to listen to club channels.
Change channels at the top.
Grab silver handles to get heartrate.
