After an hour or so, the Woodcutter came out and told Jimmy some good news and some bad news. The good news was that the Toymaker had a new little boy. The bad news was that the Toymaker's wife had gotten sick and died. Jimmy thought that it was really sad that the Toymaker's wife had died but the boy was really lucky boy to be living in a toy store and have a father who could make so many people so happy. "Maybe even as lucky as the new princess;" that the Woodcutter had told him about yesterday.
They continued on and finished the rest of there duties and went home.
A few days later while chopping in the forest, the Woodcutter exclaimed, "Why that's it!!!!"* Then he drove Jimmy into a tree stub and ran off and left Jimmy alone.
Almost immediately Jimmy was confused. He was beginning to feel lonely. "What am I going to do?" Jimmy thought. "How could he leave me alone in the forest. What about all the wood for the good people of the town? What about the children." Jimmy began to feel sad and he started to cry. Then he remembered that he might rust so he stopped. He then decided that he was being silly and his friend would not leave him.
