Having Fun!
Do you want to create random walks? All you have to do is throw a
coin, assign each side to either left or right and draw a line as shown below.
Draw a line that goes up for heads and down for tails. Before you know it,
there is your Random Walk!
Want to make it 2-D? Throw a dice instead of a coin, and assign
1,2,34 to left,right, up or down (5 and 6 won't be used). Take a chessboard and
move a pawn around as commanded by the dice! There you have it! A 2-dimensional
random walk!

Now we have a
feeling about random walks. But what is more fun that dice and chessboards? Math
of course!
