The MIT Glass Lab fell into its present structure in 1988. Sponsored by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, the lab is a resource for glassblowing and glass art at MIT and beyond. Activities offered by the Glass Lab include glassblowing classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced students within the MIT community, lectures and workshops offered by visiting glass artists, and on-campus glass sales.
