About the African Technology Forum

African Technology Forum is an MIT-based network of students and professionals promoting sustainable development in Africa through the application of science and technology.

The ATF seminars look at ways in which technology is being applied towards economic development in Africa. Topics are presented by experienced professionals who will share their ideas and brainstorm with participants for new approaches.

Our publication, African Technology Forum, is the only magazine covering science and technology as it affects Africa. Established in 1988, ATF is a major resource for African technical professionals, industry managers, researchers, and policy makers. ATF circulates in 85 countries with over 9,000 readers.

In addition to publishing, ATF's network offers consulting services and a resource exchange program to a range of industries and organizations in Africa and the US.
