About Us

The Biopolymers Laboratory is a core laboratory funded by the MIT Center for Cancer Research. Our mission is to provide research instrumentation to the MIT community.

The concept of the Laboratory is to combine, in one location, expensive and highly-automated instruments with the technical expertise needed to operate and maintain them efficiently. The cost of supplies and reagents utilized in a synthesis or analysis is "charged back" to individual research laboratories. With our state-of-the-art instruments and highly-trained technical staff, the Biopolymers Laboratory allows researchers to utilize modern techniques without having to invest their time, funds, and laboratory space on an individual basis.
