Grand Unified Timeline
This started as Dr. Kye's history timeline spliced together with the
excerpts from Jayla's book, tidbits from Jim's Scout Manual, and facts
from the bluesheets, with miscellaneous annotations and other data
accumulated over time.
- ? AS [? AD]
- Dr. Gallagher of Terra discovers signals from Vega which may
indicate Alien Life.
- ? AS [2651 AD]
- Signals from the Quester 7 probe from Vega with pictures of
the lush green planet that we know as Ridena.
- ? AS [2678 AD]
- The emigration ship Santa Maria built for the "Great
Journey." [*]
- -125 AS [2679 AD]
- The Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria embark
on the "Great Journey" from Terra to Vega (Ridena).
- -93 AS
- Humans and Tinoori first make contact.
- 0
- Tarn Alliance supposedly formed.
The original jumpgates supposedly date from this time.
Some of the linked worlds may have been terraformed around
this time.
Terran/Terra is an alternate spelling for Tarn. [*]
The name the "Tarn" call themselves is "Deciders." [*]
This may also about the time Ridena was colonized. (No.) [*]
- 15-19
- Quary on Gateway first quarried.
- 24-30
- Quarry Bowl shaped.
- 31
- Quarry Bowl activated for testing purposes and then deactivated.
- 1192
- Formation of the Hegemony. [*]
- c.1500
- The ship now known as the "Inopportune Moment" was built.
- 1519
- Osiril Telemon was named Hegemon in 1519 by Antimon II, when he
stepped down to retire. He was seventy-two or so. Apparently the
reigns of he and his father, Antimon I, were called the Golden Hegemonic
Era. [*]
- 2005
- The Mad Hegemon, Therrin Horus Telemon, likes the year 2005
so much that he declares that it will be 2005 again. [*]
- ????
- The Mad Hegemon writes a book. This book is eventually
incorporated into the Reformed Book of the Hegemon by
Constantin Nomarche as chapter 23. Constantin's son later
removes the Lost Book of Telemon.
- 2008
- The Mad Hegemon executes every other member of his house before
dying in single combat with his Strategos. This marks the end of the
Telemon dynasty and the rise of the Nomarche line.
Constantin Nomarche is the first Hegemon of the Nomarche
line. [*]
- ????
- Alexion Nomarche succeeds Constantin. It is not known if
Alexion is Constantin's son.
- c.2050
- Janina Megaera (probably with a different name at the
time) steals the Inopportune Moment (and presumably gives it it's
current name.)
- c.2055
- The Inopportune Moment starts time hopping.
- c.2125
- Earliest entries in Jayla's book date from about this time.
- 2158.187
- Hegonomicon Entry (Hegemon
Tiridan)
- 2423
- Ambros Gabriel Nomarche, younger brother of Vissarion, is
appointed Strategos.
- 2430
- The Chief of Military Operations is dismissed by the
Strategos. The position is still unfilled at the time of the
crash of the Hippocrates. The CMO was immediately superior to
CinC-Skyguard, as well as the heads of the other service
branches.
- 2432
- Death of Hegemon Gabriel Marchand Nomarche and ascension of
Vissarion Gabriel Nomarche. [*]
- 2435.189
- Crash of Hippocrates on innermost planet of Ganfrey system.
- 2439.196
- Joint military exercises in the Bastion system lead to the
destruction of a Hegemonic ship, the Hyperion, a Titan-class
light cruiser.
- 2439.202
- The Strategos demands that the Bastion government turn over
the crews of the ships in question for investigation/prosecution.
Bastion refuses and a conflict begins between the Inworlds and
Outworlds. (The Bastion staff on Ridena believe that one of the ships
accused of firing on the Hegemonic ship is a Courier-class vessel and
thus unlikely to be carrying weapons, but may have carried
torpedoes.)
- 2439.226
- Envoys from the Outworlds close up and leave Ridena. They leave a note behind at
Farways.
- 2439
- 3rd Hegemonic Guard division begins deployments. Start of open conflict
with Outworlds. [See analysis of military records in the archives Eva and Mr. V'Dalari.]
- c.2440
- The Inopportune Moment ceases to leave the outworlds.
- 2448
- A rebellion begins in the Inworlds against the Hegemon & the
Strategos. Fighting continues in the Outworlds.
- 2441.321
- Hegonomicon Entry
(Hegemon Darin)
- 2447
- Settlement of Rupert's Hole, after the death of its discoverer, Rupert
Milhouse.
- 2448.202
- Vircus jumpgates are put into secure mode, cutting Vircus off from
the rest of the Inworlds. [Final
Log]
- 2448.240
- Strategos Ambros Nomarche leaves Sparta Skyguard Command Base
Omega for the Inworlds. [Final
Log]
- 2450
- The civil war in the Inworlds now includes conflict between the
Hegemon and Strategos, as the Hegemon has thrown his lot behind
the political objectives of the Rebellion. [See Eva's analysis of the Guard Division 3 Records.]
Evidence of conflict is supported by log found on Vircus battlestation.
- c.2450-2451
- Arista Nomarche, sister to Vissarion and Ambros moves to Heidelmere
with her Elite, Garthane, and the object that will eventually become
known as the "Amulet of Verification."
- 2451
- Royal Directives from Heidelmere say that Heidelmere has allied
with the Hegemon and the insurrection. (Previous to this time, it
seems to have been "loyalist.")
- ????
- War comes to Riden/Tiras during the rebellion. Local
fleet(s) stay loyal to the Strategos despite unknown
"temptations." [Margot Bellarion, sister to Captain Adrian
Bellarion of the Hippocrates, was involved in this.] [I am unsure
whether or not this occurs before or after the destruction of
Ridena.]
- 2453
- Fighting spreads to Ridena itself.
- 2453.154
- The Burning Eagle leaves Ridena carrying the "Amulet of
Verfication" to Heidelmere. The Clarion fleet under the command
of Ambros Nomarche arrives in system, presumably to sieze the throne of
the Hegemony.
- 2453.155
- No further records from Guard Division 3. Destruction of
Ridena by the HSS Clarion. Presumed deaths of Vissarion and
Ambros Nomarche. After this date, Arista Nomarche goes into
official and permanent mourning for her brothers. According to Dr
Kye, this act apparently ends the war. [*] The Hegemony is now without
a ruler since Arista is in hiding on Heidelmere.
- ????
- Info Wars begin.
- c. 2450
- Red Hegemony is founded. Eventually, the claim is made that
Riden was the original capital of the Hegemony; actually, Riden
was originally Tiras, a corporate planet.
- 2459
- Colonel Horth Kargelian, the "Butcher of Eremov" destroys
Eremov Secundus (reducing it to an asteroid belt) in the New
Light system.[*]
- 2462.093
- Crux Parliament votes to disable the jumpgate from Crux to
Nonesuch to insulate the Outworlds from the chaos of the Inworlds.[*]
- 2463
- Heidelmere officially becomes Highguard. Steffan
Sturmkonig takes the name Steffan von Warrick, after his father
Warrick Sturmkonig, so symbolize the change. [*]
- 2464.077
- Hegonomicon Entry
(Hegemon Darin)
- 2466
- Blue Hegemony is founded. The first blue Hegemon is Artemis
Melcamot. Highguard is instrumental in the founding; the King of
Highguard, Steffan the First, (Steffan von Warrick) "verifies"
Melcamot's claim to the Hegemonic throne via an earlier branch of the
royal family. (There are two other verifiers, also from Highguard.)
[*]
- c. 2470
- Second Farseer's rule begins on Pierogi early in this
decade. [*]
- 2478.311
- Hegonomicon Entry (Hegemon
Darinsol)
- Third Farseer's rule begins on Pierogi late in this
decade. [*]
- 2485.234
- Hegonomicon Entry
(Hegemon Varna)
- 2489.144
- Hegonomicon Entry
(Hegemon Varna)
- c.2500
- Info Wars end.
- c.2510
- Fourth Farseer's rule on Pierogi begins early this decade.
- 2508
- Arista Nomarche dies on Highguard
- c. 2520
- By this point, Tiras has been renamed to Riden, but
not for so long that people have forgotten the origianl name.

- Hegonomicon Entry
(Hegemon Klist)
- c.2625

The red Hegemon (Shaddam Marchant II) is 26; his brother is 15.
There was a sister and brother in between the two of them (Irulan,
would be 24, Riovaughn, would be 19), but they were killed about five
years ago in an "accident" when the ship they were on exploded.
The blue Hegemon (Doraine Melcamot) is married to a New
Light man of not astonishing high birth (apparently it was for love),
Darrin Marcus. They have two children, Donella and
Daniel (about 2 years younger than Donella).
- 2778.074
- Discovery and reactivation of HMS Hippocrates on innermost
planet of the Sundown system.
- 2778.073-080
- Destruction of Pierogi by a Decider fleet. This is a
different group ("decision") than that which located and set up an
embassy on Creek.
- 2778.136
- Donella's coming of age ceremony, where she was to turn 16
years old and be officially declared heir to her mother. All
planetary leaders of the Blue Hegemony are present, but it is revealed
that the heir has been kidnapped and replaced.
