International Students and Scholars

There are 3,104 international students enrolled in degree programs at MIT—448 undergraduates and 2,656 graduate students—for the current academic year. Additionally, there are 414 exchange, visiting, and special students on campus.

During academic year 2011–2012, MIT hosted 2,175 international scholars from 90 countries, who engaged in teaching and research in 70 different departments, laboratories, and centers.
