ASSOCIATE LECTURER IN FILM STUDIES -- FIXED TERM
DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
Position No. A44/97

The Department offers a full undergraduate major in Film Studies, comprising
a wide range of subjects in film history, theory, and criticism. The
appointee will be expected to teach and assess undergraduate students,
contribute to curriculum development and administration, and conduct
research in his or her area of expertise.

Essential criteria: Completion or near completion of a higher degree in a
related discipline.

Desirable criteria: Publications in refereed journals; tertiary teaching
experience; ability to complement the Department's range of teaching
interests in film studies.

Salary: The salary range for the position is #31,637AU to $42,933AU per
annum.

General: The position is available on a fixed term basis for a period of
