    There are so many films which are suitable for children, but I would
    propose for instance:

    Yaaba and Le Cri du coeur (Heart's Cry) by Idrissa Ouedraogo,
    Burkina Faso

    Ballon d'or (is it Golden football in English?) sorry I don't remember
    the name of the director

    Halfaouine (Child of the Terraces) by Ferid Boughedir, Tunisia (for
    pre-adolescents)

    Nyamanton by Cheick Oumar Sissoko, Mali

    Minka by Mohamed Camara, Guinee

    Many of them are in distribution by California Newsreel, Ballon d'or is
    distributed by BFI in Europe but I don't know about US.
