Stip Records is proud to be the exclusive recording label for The Hammond Group The Hammond Group was formed in late 2005 by a team of seasoned professionals committed to the delivery of excellence-focused rock and roll solutions. Playing "middle-aged surf punk for the 21st century," The Hammond Group has recently brought it's formidable songwriting skills and spirited musicianship to performances at the now defunct Linwood Grill in Boston, Club Bohemia at the Cantab in Cabbridge, and the Kirkland Cafe and Abbey Lounge in Somerville, MA. In early 2007, The Hammond Group released its debut CD, "Product Launch." The Hammond Group has recently begun pre-production for their next studio effort. While details remain vague, mainly due to intellectual property concerns and the sensitivity of business development activities, rumor has it that newer songs such as "Mosh Pit Girl," "Conference Room," and "Ice Cream Man" have already come under scrutiny, with other live favorites such as "Body of Work" and "Hazmat" to be put under the aural microscope in the near-term. Stay tuned for more information to appear in the blog section on MySpace.
