Campus Directions for the Meeting

The meeting will be held in the Hampton University Student Union Ballrooms. Registration will be in front of the ballroom, which is on the first floor.

From the hotel -

There is a campus map and another version is also available here.

On this map, one can find (on the side or top, depending on your viewer) the Booker T. Washington Memorial Bridge. The Hampton University campus is on one side of this bridge, and the meeting hotel is on the other. The bridge is visible from many rooms of the hotel, and the front desk can easily point you to it. Cross it and make your way to campus, either by foot or by car. The meeting will be held in the Student Union ballrooms. The Student Union is building U-2 on the map, across the street from the Armstrong Athletic Field (the football stadium, easy to spot). The ballrooms are on the first floor, along the Soldier's Home Road side of the building. Registration will be in front of the ballrooms.

If you are driving, please park in Lot 11 if possible. This is located somewhat behind Armstrong stadium on the map, next to Z-2, the Convocation Center. To park here, you will not need a parking pass and the easiest route is just to take an immediate left onto Emancipation Drive off of Tyler St. when you get to campus. If you have troubles walking and need to be very close to the meeting, you can park in the lot along Soldier's Home Road and directly adjacent to the meeting rooms. To do this, you will need to obtain a parking pass from the guard. In this case, continue down Tyler past Emancipation Drive and then turn left onto Cemetary Road. You will see the guard shack on Cemetary Road, where you can obtain a visitor's pass. Circling the block to your left then either way will get you to the Student Union and the parking across from it along Soldier's Home Rd.

From Interstate 64 -

Hampton University is a clearly-marked exit (number 267) off of Interstate 64 with the typical big green highway sign. It says "Hampton University / Settlers Landing Road." There is only one exit for the university, and the campus is right off the highway. There are driving directions to get to I64 available here. The hotel uses the same exit, and directions are also available here.

Interstate 64 is on the side or bottom (viewer dependent) of the map. Please park your car in Lot 11 if possible.
