About Us

The Irish Association of MIT is a society that is made up of students, scholars and affiliates of MIT who are of Irish heritage or are interested in Irish culture. For many of the members, the Irish Association of MIT is not only a place to make friends and to socialize with people from differing backgrounds and interests, but it can also be about sharing an interest about Irish tradition and culture.

Our activities include celebrating St Patrick's Week festivities, running and organizing social events, hosting seminar speaker series events, and occasional lunches with the Irish Harvard folk up the road. In addition to a myriad of social and cultural activities, the IAMIT is also very active in sports and our football team reached the final of the superleague at MIT. We encourage any student with an interest in Irish or European culture to join us at any of our events. Our activities are mostly open to the community, and we've had the pleasure of having many people from various parts of Boston and Cambridge participate in our activities. For more information, please contact any of our officers.
