1.2.3 Statement of Progress
Description: A presentation of your final experimental design and
discussion of progress achieved during 16.621. This statement will
demonstrate that you are ready to begin the experimental portion of the
projects lab next semester.
- Focus on detailed plans for 622, including design of experimental
apparatus and procedures
- Present working drawings of design so reviewers may evaluate and
criticize it.
Structure:
- Introduction:
- Cover page: Title and authors, advisor, date and type of report
- Introduction: motivating problem, statement of objective
- Body:
- Present state of planning and experimental design: highlight major
changes in approach; significant questions raised and how resolved.
- Working drawings of apparatus; final test matrices.
- End:
- List of materials and equipment required
- Status of equipment procurement (on order, available)
- Final timetable for 16.622 semester.
