The Johnson Games 2000 were held on Saturday, April 29, 2000. Sponsored by the Offices of the President, Provost and Chancellor, the Games were held in conjunction with Spring Weekend.

The first Johnson Games were held in April 1988 in conjunction of the naming of the Johnson Athletics Center for President Emeritus and former Chairman of the Corporation, Mr. Howard Johnson. The second Johnson Games were held in May of 1991, celebrating the inauguration of Dr. Vest as MIT's fifteenth president; participation in those Games topped 2,400. The third Johnson Games were held in conjunction with Spring Weekend in April 2000.
