Admissions

We regret to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the FTO Program will be ending in June, 2006.

Many students have expressed interest in applying during the June '06 admissions season. Unfortunately, we will NOT be accepting any new applications to join the program. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Financial Technology Option

The Financial Technology Option (FTO) is a Certificate program designed to be pursued concurrently with an MIT graduate degree program. The target audience includes Ph.D. students in engineering and other technology related fields, MBA students, and Ph.D. students in Financial Engineering.

The FTO consists of six courses. Many students will already satisfy two of these in their major. Students who complete the FTO requirements are awarded a Certificate of Participation.

A formal application is required to enroll in the FTO program. Acceptance to the program facilitates access to Sloan subjects that provide the required depth and breadth in finance, many of which are in very high demand. For more information please refer to FAQ sheet.
