A Road-stop for Volunteers Working with Street Children in South America

 

This website is a guide for volunteers working with street children in Latin America.  Our intent is to provide information that will enhance your understanding of street children, ease your transition into your host country and volunteer position, and provide you with resources to make your volunteer time more effective.  Breaking away from stereotypes that surround street children, we hope to enable you to focus on the problems street children face rather than the seeing street children as the problem.   We encourage volunteers to draw upon their creativity, talents and resourcefulness to empower kids to become active participants in their own change.  Serving as a resource for future, current, and past volunteers, we are creating a community that allows us to learn from each other’s failures and build upon each other’s successes.
