a bolero hits at or above the natural waist. this style jacket is usually collarless and often sleeveless, with rounded front and no fastenings. the bolero jacket stule originates with the embroidered jacket of the Spanish bullfighter. the bolero jacket style was also made popular by dancers of the Bolero (the name given to a particular Spanish dance and the associated accompanying musics and costume).
