Dr. Martin Gjelsvik (Rogaland Research)

Dr oecon Martin Gjelsvik has been research manager at RF – Rogaland Research in Stavanger, Norway, for the past ten years. He earned his degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen. Before he joined RF, he held different management positions in the finance industry. His research interests are related to studies of innovation processes in established firms and regional innovation systems. He has developed a measurement system for evaluation of the potential for regional value creation. At the moment he is leading the project “Strategy development and radical innovations in established corporations”, where he published a book in 2004. He is also conducting a scenario study of Norwegian regions. In the LIS context, he works with a comparative study of the oil and gas industry in the Aberdeen and Stavanger regions.
