A recent physics accomplishment is the ab initio calculation of the axial charge of the nucleon in the chiral regime, and its extrapolation to the physical pion mass and infinite volume using finite volume chiral perturbation theory. The principal result is shown in the following figure. (full-resolution png / pdf)
