Tsu-Lin Mei is the Hu Shih Professor Emeritus of Chinese Literature and Philology at Cornell University and received an M.A from Harvard University in 1955 and a Ph.D. from Yale University in 1962. Research interests include Chinese Historical Grammar, Chinese historical dialectology, and Old Chinese morphology. Publications include “Meizulin Yuyanxue Lunwenji,” in Papers in Linguistics by Tsu-Lin Mei; Shangwu Yinshuguan (Commercial Press, Beijing ); and “The Causative and Denominative Functions of the *s- prefix in Old Chinese,” in Proceedings of the Second International Conference on Sinology.
